The Lake County IDPA Club was established in April, 2012 and is an official IDPA shooting club. As an offcially recognized IDPA Club we are proud to offer local shooters the opportunity to engage in friendly and safe competition. As the largest IDPA Club in Central Florida, LCIDPA offers challenging and educational matches on a monthly basis. Not sure if competitive shooting is right for you? Check the CALENDAR for upcoming matches and other related events.

Lake County IDPAs purpose is to encourage organized shooting among members of our community with a view toward a better knowledge of the participants on the safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improved marksmanship.

Curious about the match rules, scoring, and what you need to do before shooting a match?

IDPA uses practical equipment including full charge service ammunition to solve simulated real world self-defense scenarios using practical handguns and holsters that are suitable for self-defense use. When you come to an IDPA match, you can not only use your duty/CCW equipment, you can be completely competitive with it!

If you’re interested in using truly practical pistols to solve challenging and exciting defensive shooting problems, then IDPA is the sport for you.
